This course reflects one of the fundamental principles of the Spinning® program—addressing the individuality of each participant. Active older adults comprise the fastest growing segment of the fitness population and have distinct and different exercise needs and goals from younger fitness enthusiasts. Spinning for Active Older Adults will discuss the physical and emotional needs of senior Spinning participants, giving you additional expertise in training these riders. This text covers safety concerns for older riders, physiological benefits of exercise, heart rate considerations and recovery techniques to prevent fatigue and burnout.
