Description
This course is taught by Olivia Ellis, Spinning® Master Instructor. In this short course, you'll explore how the language you use as an instructor can influence rider movement, technique, and confidence. Using research from Ironic Process Theory, Olivia explores why riders often respond better when instructors coach the movement they want to see rather than the movement they want to avoid. You'll learn how to identify common coaching phrases that may be unintentionally reinforcing unwanted movement patterns and discover practical ways to reframe them for better results. The course concludes with an opportunity to reflect on your own coaching style and apply these concepts in your next class.
Note: You can complete this course with or without a bike.
